Beyond Education Academy is now inviting and accepting submissions of original, unpublished writing about your favourite travel and/or vacation experience for our 2014 Writing Contest. With Expedia CruiseShipCenters, Fish Creek office,
a long time and famed travel

Beyond Education Academy is seeking fresh, creative writing that brings to Travel Experience and Family Enjoyment. We want writing from the edges – from new writers who have just joined elementary schooling, or from longtime writers of senior high school students who can show us a new way of seeing things.
The compositions are in the categories of Descriptive Writing (writing that serves to show, describe) and Narrative Writing (tells a story). Submissions should not exceed 2000 words while considering the level differences for a starting point:
1. Elementary students (grade 2-6) minimum of 250 words
2. Junior high students (grade 7-9) minimum of 350 words
3. Senior high students (grade 10-12) minimum of 500 words
Visual insertions (photos, maps, etc.) are permitted as additional support to the compositions.
RULES & DETAILS
1) Entry fee:
No entry fee
2) Deadline for Submission:
The deadline for entry is from today till September 15, 2014. The students have 45 days complete the work. Any entries received after midnight Mountain Standard Time on this date will not be considered. We will confirm receipt of your entry within three (3) business days.
3) Submission Details:
Please e-mail your entries to dean@beyond-edu.com with the subject “Writing Contest 2014.” The body of your e-mail should include the following information:
· Author’s full name
· E-mail address
· Mailing address
· Phone number
· School Name, School Address, Grade
Please attach your submission as a Word or PDF document. Your submission should include the title of your work, but in order to ensure fairness and anonymity in judging, please do not indicate your name on the submission itself.Please submit only one entry per person.
4) Prizes:
Contest winners will be published on Beyond Education Academy website, be notified to their schools, and receive Winner Certificate, and the awards provided by Expedia CruiseshipCenters, Fish Creek office.
Honourable mentions will be featured online alongside contest winners at Beyond-Edu.com and will each receive a participation certificate.
5) Judging:
This year’s jury panel includes travel and tourism specialists in Expedia CruiseshipCenters, Fish Creek office, and educators from Beyond Education Academy, along with professional writing teachers in the province of Alberta.
6) Other details:
Entries must be original, unpublished, and not submitted
simultaneously to other publications or contests. Entrants must agree to be
bound to the contest rules. The decisions of our keen-eyed judges are final. Contest Organizer reserves all the rights.We are thankful for the support of the Expedia CruiseshipCenters, Fish Creek office
